the mrbrown show 4 July 2006: I am Singaporean

National Day is coming soon, so I thought it would be nice to record a message for the occasion.

We were inspired by the Molson beer "I am Canadian" commercial, and we borrowed the music from the Battlestar Galactica Season 2 soundtrack, a track called "Reuniting the Fleet".

If you like, you can record your own version of "I am Singaporean" and post it on your blog, and leave a link in the comments in there. You can also tag it iamsingaporean and entitle it "I am Singaporean".

(MP3, File size: 2.7mb, Time: 00:01:56)

hi there ... love your shows! but the only disappointment is that your recording or getting shorter ... less than 5 mins... would prefer your old shows which last arn 20mins .. keep up the good work

bravo.. when i was in canada, the tagline everyone spoke was " My name is XXXX, and I AM CANADIAN"... The Molson Beer advert changed the impression how canadians were.. they were the "i'm canadian, EHHH.."

At that time, i thought how wonderful it would be if tiger beer were to have its advert somewhere along the line.. instead of the lame "what time is it..."

Well, at least your rendition is pretty close, but i find it rather lengthy.. It is still something nice and has really brought back some nostaglic feelings..good work!!!

Great one Mr Brown, even thought it is quite short.

BTW the Tiger tag is NOT original.... Miller did it first way back in the late 80's
